If you advertise on Facebook and Instagram, it’s time to update yourself with some of the latest creative tools.

Video creation

In Facebook’s Video Creation Kit, you will now have even more visually-engaging templates to choose from.

What’s more, seasonal stickers and templates are now available in the Effects tab to help “freshen up” your ads. Your ads will never be “the same old thing all year round” anymore!

Meanwhile, 20 new font options have been introduced, making it easier to add text overlays that tie in with your brand guidelines better.

Ever felt “trapped” working on a video because the moment you start, you can’t step away as you don’t want to lose all your work?  The Video Creation Kit has made it possible to save drafts of videos, so you can work on your video whenever you have a moment and pick up exactly where you left off later on.

Video editing

Ads Manager allows selection of an aspect ratio  (4:5, 2:3, 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9) to crop your video according to requirements of different placements (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger or Audience Network).

Similarly, you can trim the duration of a video for different platforms as well.

Dynamic ads

Whether you’re selling products, hotels, flights or vehicles, a dynamic ad might just work for you. Available in single-image, carousel and collection format, dynamic ads can be used across Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger.

Branded content ads

Advertisers can now promote branded content posts as feed ads, reaching a wider audience. “Paid partnership with” along with the brand name will appear to ensure ads transparency.

ThruPlay

Available for Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network, ThruPlay allows advertisers to pay only when ads are played to completion or for at least 15 seconds. Optimize your video ad campaign for ThruPlay, and Facebook will deliver it to users that are likely to watch 15 seconds or the whole video.

Let your creativity run amok and have fun experimenting with these creative tools!

Creative Split Testing and Project Mockup https://newdigitalnoise.com/creative-split-testing-project-mockup/ https://newdigitalnoise.com/creative-split-testing-project-mockup/#respond Wed, 20 Dec 2017 03:35:01 +0000 https://newdigitalnoise.ndnsocial.com.hk/?p=2759 The post Creative Split Testing and Project Mockup appeared first on New Digital Noise.

Facebook has just upscaled A/B tests with a creative split testing function in Ads Manager this November. This particular function helps test different creative variations — from ad formats, visuals, headlines, to call to action — to check which version drives the best results. In split testing, each user will only see one version of the ad to ensure the most accurate results. At the end of a split test, advertisers will learn which ad performs better and are better-equipped with marketing information.

Facebook is also rolling out another new set of tools to help marketing team members organize and share mockups within projects, allowing them to collaborate more effectively.

Creative Hub helps them mockup Facebook and Instagram ads that display on all mobile and desktop platforms. Whenever the Business Manager is enabled, the Creative Hub tool can be used to create amazing projects. Below is a summary of Facebook’s note for Creative Hub’s added features:

1. Organise and Share Projects

Now, you are able to organize your mockups into projects and multiple teammates will be able to work on a single mock-up simultaneously.

2. Deliver Ads

Mocked ads can now be shared with media teams and partner agencies, and sent live with the click of a button, removing the need to rebuild ad creative every time. This simplifies delivery (no more emails, zip files, and excel spreadsheets), removes any risks associated with rebuilding creative, and streamlines these workflows — bye emails!

3. Experiment with formats and placements

While we all thought Instagram Stories are spontaneous and go in a blink of an eye, who knows they can be mocked up at Creative Hub too? Now we can preview Instagram mock-ups on mobile and mock-up Instagram Stories.

4. More inspiration and motivation

Facebook has always had an inspiration gallery to support Collection and Instagram Stories, as well as new filtering options for videos over and under 15 seconds in length. A new ad format gallery is also in place to help you understand the specifications and recommendations associated with Facebook’s platforms.

Check out our work in the other sections of the website to see success stories. We’d love to hear from you, and happy to help if you need assistance with your social media presence.

Luxury brands promote exclusivity. Social media, on the other hand, is all about reaching out and connecting with the largest audience possible. It seems unlikely at first but turns out the pair does works magic — only with the right content.

With the majority of luxury shoppers using social media, brands are now making the most out of social space without compromising exclusivity. With this in mind, NDN Group is dedicated to offering customized solutions to drive engagement, incorporating multimedia applications, new online technologies, and unique approaches to bring marketing luxury brands to the next level.

Vacheron Constantin
The world-renowned Swiss watchmaker wishes to promote its astronomical timepieces in a way that fits its brand image. We had in turn produced video content featuring an interview with the brand’s Artistic Director Christian Selmoni. The video, in which Mr. Selmoni introduced his favorite watches, forges a personal connection and thus brand affinity with local audience while persevering elegance and class.

W Hotel
Identifying mainland travelers as the hotel’s target clients, NDN Group devised a WeChat campaign that centers around HTML5 (H5) development. Visually appealing pages are created to introduce the brand to potential clients and boost sharing, with a well-designed user flow to lead visitors back to the hotel’s main Wechat account.

Fashion Walk
A distinctive shopping destination that offers the latest in fashion, gastronomy, and lifestyle, Fashion Walk also needs to be up-to-the-minute on its social media platforms. Acting on the popularity of the Patternator app earlier this month, we created an enticing GIF that managed to drive engagement while staying chic.

Jumping into Paid Ads? In traditional media buying, you’d need to have a budget ready or get it approved, get in touch with sales or media departments of major publications (news, magazines, television, and radio), get the help of an ad agency, produce ads, and run these ads over time. Traditional marketing can be expensive, and can have too many things happening at once.

PPC is Pay Per Click marketing – the digital equivalent of paying money for getting in front of as many people as you can when they are looking for you (or sometimes not, like in Facebook Ads). By default, PPC is even simpler than media buying that most traditional businesses are used to.

But then, there are things you ought to know before jumping into PPC, and here are some of those:

1. Ignoring basics can be expensive

Most PPC experts don’t know, understand, and implement irrefutable basics when it comes to PPC advertising. If such is the state of affairs with “PPC experts”, what might be happening inside the accounts of unaided businesses?

Whatever you do, don’t ignore the basics. Take keyword selection, for instance.
PPC is only a matter of picking the right keywords that your potential audience is like to type for. For instance, if you are a real estate broker in Chicago, the likely keywords your customers might type are:

“Apartments in Chicago”

“Apartments Lake Michigan”

“Real estate consultants Chicago”

But you wouldn’t want your ad to show up when the following unrelated keywords (negative keywords) are typed in:

“Trump Tower Chicago”

“Trump Real estate empire”

Not using negative keywords while letting your ads run is a major mistake and it’s primarily the reason why so many businesses burn their advertising dollars before they see single nickel coming in.

Negative keywords are only one of the many ways you could go wrong.

2. The Winning secret is in testing

Out of the keywords we used for the real estate example in Chicago above, how do you know which of those three keywords brings you results? You could guess. You might assume. Or your experience could tell you what works and what doesn’t.

In PPC marketing, you can’t rely on theory, ideas, experience, knowledge, or even gut. You can use all of those but the decision-making should be based on testing.

Also called as A/B testing, every ad is testing against another version (likewise, every landing page and even entire websites are tested).

Testing gets you closer to winning ads, landing pages, and profitability.

3. It’s not “Shut it and Forget it”

Most businesses we consult with or talk to have this feeling that Google Ad words (or even Facebook ads) are a “set-it-up-and-grab-a-coffee” affair. They assume that it’s all one-time and they also expect that agencies charge one-time fees for PPC marketing services.

PPC marketing is a game of setup, strategy, analytics, continuous testing, tweaking, data mining, and some more tweaking. Ever wondered why a few businesses succeed within an industry (for a specific location) while others flounder, even though it’s the same platform (Google AdWords) that all these businesses have ads on. Success with search engines demands a relentless workflow of keywords, ads, landing pages, copy, testing, and more.

It’s all about how the campaigns are managed.

How do you manage your PPC campaigns?

5 Reasons to Hire a Digital Advertising Agency https://newdigitalnoise.com/5-reasons-hire-agency-handle-digital-advertising/ https://newdigitalnoise.com/5-reasons-hire-agency-handle-digital-advertising/#respond Wed, 15 Jun 2016 00:53:29 +0000 https://newdigitalnoise.ndnsocial.com.hk/?p=876 The post 5 Reasons to Hire a Digital Advertising Agency appeared first on New Digital Noise.

]]>

In the world we live in, most consumers will look online before they ever come into your business. Customers want to see that the businesses they are buying from are active online. Whether that means an updated website, blog, social media presence, or through digital advertising. You want to make sure your business is keeping everything up to date. That is why many businesses turn to an agency to handle their digital advertising presence.

Consider these Reasons to hire a Digital Advertising Agency.

1. Changing Trends

Handling a digital advertising campaign can be stressful. Especially when you fail to see results. If you are using outdated information to run your campaign it can lead to limited to no results over time. Your ads may never even be seen or picked up by the algorithms. We have teams that are experts in banner advertising, search engine marketing, and media buying strategies. They are responsible for keeping up to date with all the latest changes to the digital advertising world. We have proven results that lead to our clients receiving quality leads that convert into customers.

2. Experience

When you hire an agency you gain a team of experienced workers that understand the best practices. They can customize your strategy to fit within your industry’s standards. Why not pay someone for their expertise so that you can focus on your daily business operations? Unlike an in-house marketing team that could take months to get up and running, by outsourcing your digital advertising you can have your campaigns up and running in just a few short weeks.

3. Save Resources

Whether you consider resources dollars or people, an agency can save you both. Because you are not spending money on benefits and salaries, you are essentially paying for the knowledge. Most companies who work with an agency see an increased ROI of approximately 24% over an in-house marketing team. And in a world that is highly data driven that is a big percentage.

4. Access to Marketing Resources

An agency can give you access to resources that otherwise would be very expensive to bring in-house. Some agencies have subscriptions that they get a deal on due to their number of clients or analytics tools that help provide their clients with accurate data. They also use things like programmatic advertising which can help optimize your digital advertising strategy. Because programmatic advertising helps take media buying to the next level, we use a combination of this innovative technique; as well as, the traditional approach.

5. In it for the Long Haul

As you continue to work with an agency, they gain a better understanding of how your business operates. They are able to learn more about the different types of customers you have. If your customers are searching for your industry on Google, an agency might recommend search engine marketing. If your customers are on social media, they may recommend social media ads as part of your digital marketing campaign. If your business is designed for major purchases, customers may not buy from you on the first search. When they come to your website for the second time, you may want to serve them a retargeting ad to give them the extra nudge they need. An agency can help with al of that.

Summary

A digital marketing agency can give you access to many different resources and tools. Before we work with a client, we make sure that we are the right fit for their business and they are the right fit for ours. 3 Must-know Facebook Advertising Tips https://newdigitalnoise.com/3-must-know-facebook-advertising-tips/ https://newdigitalnoise.com/3-must-know-facebook-advertising-tips/#respond Fri, 10 Jun 2016 08:18:19 +0000 https://newdigitalnoise.ndnsocial.com.hk/?p=864 The post 3 Must-know Facebook Advertising Tips appeared first on New Digital Noise.

Over the last few years, Facebook has made changes to their algorithms making it more difficult for businesses to reach their audience without advertising. (Of course there’s exceptional cases) Luckily Facebook marketing is a powerful form of online advertising and you can see great results from it. If you’re just getting started, follow our 3 simple tips to get more from your Facebook advertising!

1.Use Custom Audience and Retargeting

With digital advertising, it’s easy to reach a wide audience but you may not see a high return if you are targeting the wrong people. Facebook advertising allows you to create custom audience so that you can target those most likely to become customers.

Facebook also allows for retargeting so you can target individuals who have already shown interest in you and your company. You can create an audience from your email list, from your Facebook fans or individuals who have visited your website. Facebook will even allow you to create lookalike audiences. This allows you to find users who are similar to those who already like your page or subscribe to your emails, which allows you to target individuals who are more likely to become your customer.

2.Compose the ads: compelling image + benefits + call to action

With any banner advertising, the image is going to be extremely important. Facebook is a very image focused platform so you’ll want an image that stands out. Close up images of people smiling and ads with bright colors do very well on Facebook. Avoid blue and white graphics because they could blend in with Facebook’s color scheme.

Great ad copy is also key with digital advertising. You are limited to the amount of words you are able to use so you must be succinct in your message and still grab attention. We recommend being direct with your copy and explaining exactly what someone can gain from your product. Most importantly, have a great call to action. A call to action is one line of text that instructs the reader to do something in response to your ad. Using words that express urgency or excitement like “Get your copy now!” or “Don’t miss out on the sale” to get your users to act.

3.Choose proper bidding and budgeting

Facebook is a great choice for online advertising because it has relatively simple buying process. You don’t need advanced marketing knowledge to start using Facebook ads. Facebook is a type of programmatic advertising, which means you can put in your either a daily budget or an overall budget and allow Facebook to manage your ad for you and determine when it will be shown. This way you do not need to be managing your ads 24 hours a day.

You have a few options for choosing how you want to be charged for your Facebook advertising. Similar to traditional banner advertising, you can choose Cost Per Click, where you will be charged for each click your ad receives, or Cost Per Impression, where you will be charged for each impression (or view) your ad receives. What you choose will depend your unique goal and it’s best to identify that goal, whether it’s more Facebook likes, website traffic or actual sales. Facebook has all of these options built into it’s ad platform to make it easier for you to choose your bidding method.

When you first start out, we recommend using a low budget so you can see what works and what doesn’t work for your ads and increase your budget as you start seeing more success. Of course, it takes time and resource to optimize ROI through trial and error. No matter what your goals are, our experienced professionals are always ready to help.

Do you use Facebook advertising? What have you learned from it? We look forward to reading your comments below!
